Progress Consult has a long standing record on working with USAID and EU development programmes. Being involved in different training and advising activities as well as formulation of national pre-accession programmes it had a notable role in the preparation process for the European Social Fund not only in Hungary, but also in some other candidate countries. It has facilitated the design and implementation of numerous local and regional projects in the field of employment promotion, social inclusion of vulnerable groups, promoting equal opportunities and gender mainstreaming, improving the quality and efficiency of education, social and labour market services.

We have experience in further teacher training in Hungary as we successfully implemented several further training programs, especially in the fields of school development, quality development, inclusive schooling and teaching, establishing school networks .

Our organization also worked in “The learning partnership initiative” project implemented by the Hungarian Association for Lifelong Learning in cooperation with VOX Norway and financed by EEA/ Norway Financial Mechanism. The project aimed at the development of national network of local open learning centers offering key competence development in local communities, where the “learning integrator” has a key role in creating local learning partnership and learning processes by integrating local resources. Progress provided technical assistance to the design of the pilot project as well as to the elaboration of a new economical model of competence development which provides easy access to learning for low level skilled groups even in remote and rural areas.  Beside the development of the ‘NYITOK Open Learning Centre’ model local NGOs received training and consultancy on how to work out local strategy for competence development in partnership with the labour offices and local businesses, as well as elaborate tailor made competence development programmes to different target groups. Development of basic skills is one of the key focus areas.
